Dance Proms 2016 certainly lived up to its strapline as a fantastic celebration of dance last weekend! The Royal Albert Hall stage was awash with fantastic talent, from both our hundreds of talented performers and our stunning guest acts too.
The event is truly international, welcoming both old and new dance groups from across the world. There were some dazzling displays on the evening of 30 October, and the audience buzzed with anticipation as they were welcomed by our Dance Proms host, Matt Flint. From the stalls to the rafters rapturous applause rang out in celebration of the dancers on stage, with many stars of the future being born.
Treating both the Dance Proms Company and the audience too, our guest acts for 2016 were icons of professional dance. The Royal Ballet’s Meaghan Hinkis and Luca Acri delighted in a Flames of Paris pas de deux, and World Ballroom Champions Warren and Kristi Boyce swept across the stage, joined also by their son Glenn Richard Boyce and his dance partner Caroly Janes.
Watch these three fantastic case studies following the Dance Proms experience for three of the schools who performed as part of the company in 2016.
